Yea…we’ve got an App[le] for that.

Have you heard? Apple has a FREE iPhone App available now! I downloaded it and besides being able to quickly check my balance or transfer money between accounts, my favorite feature is the locator option. Locator detects your current location on a map, and then pins drop down to show you the nearest Branches and ATMs. Click the pin once, the name and address appear. Click the name and address, you can get directions and view what services are available at that location. Search for Apple Federal Credit Union and download today!
Oh, and Droid users…Apple doesn’t not like you. A Droid solution is in development and should be ready later this year.
Looking for other cool Apps? Time Magazine put out their list of the 50 best iPhone Apps of 2011. Don’t want to search through all of them? No worries, I’ve listed my top 3 from their list below. Happy downloading!
- Angry Birds: You know you’ve found the perfect game when it involves shooting cartoon birds out of a sling shot at a posse of egg-stealing green pigs. It’s “dangerously addictive but deceptively simple.” Go on, give it a try. Just don’t plan on putting your phone down anytime soon.
- Yelp: No idea where to eat? Problem solved! The Yelp app locates all the nearby eateries of your current location. You can narrow down your search to proximity, neighborhood, price and customer reviews. Or, use my favorite feature – the monocle! Click on “Nearby” then click on “Monocle” in the top right corner. Your camera will open and suddenly bubbles of information will appear showing you what’s nearby, literally through the walls!
- Pandora: If you’re a music fan, this is the app for you. I consider myself quite the music buff, so now with Pandora, I can discover all kinds of new music anytime, anywhere. Once you sign in you have access to any of the channels you created on the web, and if you create a channel on your phone it transfers back to your account so you can access it on your computer.
