Sheetz Has Nothing To Do With Thread Count

Posted by Theresa, Apple FCU

Before I left Northern Virginia and went down South for college (James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA), I didn’t know what Sheetzes Sheetz (however you spell the plural of Sheetz) were.

Like most high school students in Northern Virginia, I stayed in-state for college and before attending school down South, I had never heard of Sheetz, let alone been in one. But, throughout my four years of college I was lucky enough to become very acquainted with Sheetz.

A few things to know when attending college in Southern Virginia:
Sheetz= Has NOTHING to do with 200 thread count.
The quad= Most college campuses have these— you claim to study on them, but
really just drink Starbucks and play Frisbee.
Stacks= Scary places in the libraries filled with stacks and stacks of books.

Sheetz are a BIG part of college life for a majority of students. Sheetz help satisfy your late night study cravings—Mine were Hot Fries and a Coke!

Sheetz aren’t only a college student’s dream come true with M-T-O (Made to Order subs, sandwiches, fries, etc.) but they satisfy your need for $$! Sheetz has Surcharge-FREE ATMs for most credit unions like… Apple Federal Credit Union! That way when I was at school I could access my money in my Credit Union account without paying ridiculous FEES at other ATMs.

Sheetz = YUMMY snacks + Surcharge-FREE ATMs

How is the possible, you’re thinking? Apple FCU is part of a nationwide network of Surcharge-FREE ATMs and EVERY SHEETZ IN THE COUNTRY is in that network too!

    I am very glad to know that I can use the Sheetz ATM surcharge free because I’m on the road a lot and I don’t have time to figure out where the nearest surcharge free ATM is. Knowing I can go to Sheetz — which are located along my route — will reduce the hassle. Does anyone know other convenient locations?

  2. If you travel south, Wa Wa gas stations also offer surcharge-free ATMs. And, when you’re hitting a 7 Eleven to buy a lottery ticket, their ATMs are normally surcharge-free too!
    happy travels!

    Look for the logos on the back of your check card and match that to any logos you see at any ATMs and you’re pretty much set. I mean you got Sheetz, Wawa, and 7-11 (nearly anywhere) so altogether we have surcharge-free ATMs nearly anywhere.
